As summer vacationers say goodbye to the beach and boardwalk in Ocean City, New Jersey, they look ahead to visiting the Sports Complex in South Philadelphia this fall.

That anticipation took center stage on the Ocean City Boardwalk, where the town hosted its own Eagles parade to kick off the upcoming football season.

Cheerleaders Bring the Excitement

Eagles cheerleaders were on hand to amp up fans and get everyone ready for the home opener.

“I think it’s a really good chance for everyone to meet new people and see new faces. Get to see the Eagles cheerleaders, get everyone excited for the home opener… Just the love for the city, city of brotherly love… sharing the same love for all the teams that we have.” , Dalton Walsh, Eagles Cheerleader

A Community Tradition

For Ocean City native Michael Allegretto, an Aide to the Mayor, the parade represents more than just football. It’s about bringing people together and creating lasting memories.

“I grew up in Ocean City, so I just love everything we stand for. We organize events… and then to see everybody having a great time and just enjoying what we put together, leaves a self-satisfaction as a city employee that we can give that back to people… making lifelong memories that they talk about at family events forever.”
